Windows Vista / XP Statement

Shenandoah Computer Center does not recommend Microsoft Windows Vista. Although it offers many bells and whistles not found in Windows XP, Vista doesn't offer any substantial functional improvements over Windows XP for most users. In fact, we have found it to be detrimental to the overall user experience. Windows XP, when correctly patched and configured, as secure or more so than Windows Vista.

While most retail outlets offer Windows Vista, we can still get Windows XP for your computer. We recommend purchasing your computer with Windows XP whether you purchase your computer from us or not.
